Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.
There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.
Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...
Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.
We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

Photographic work assembles 40 years dedicated to photography and culture
On Friday, the dstgroup presented “Meia Vida” (Half Life) at the Domingos da Silva Teixeira Theatre, on its campus in Braga, an unpublished photography book that for the first time brings together the legacy of Henrique Botelho (1956–2024).
Published posthumously – according to DST – “this first book by the author (begun by him but only now published) stands as a unique tribute to an artist who rarely exhibited his work, and which now reveals a career dedicated to photography, culture and the sensitive observation of reality which spanned more than four decades.”
With images involving different registers, from the documentary to the artistic, Meia Vida “offers a close look at the world, bringing together diverse themes that, together, build a visual narrative shaped by memory, identity and humanism. Among the photographs included is also an image of the founder of the dstgroup, Domingos da Silva Teixeira, at his quarry, reinforcing the link between the work and the group’s history.”
José Teixeira pays tribute to a friend
Through this book, José Teixeira, chairperson of the dstgroup, also pays tribute to a friend: “Henrique was a doctor and social activist. He never gave up his place in the polis, never gave up his occupation of his territory, and always understood his duty, even given what he suffered. He had marks on his body that led him to understand the world through his intervention. Henrique was a free human being. He was not a man of favours. He fought many battles. Paul Celan’s words once again apply to Henrique: “Whoever stops fighting loses the protection of the invisible.” He was one of those who always stood up to be counted.”
A great book, stated Alfredo Cunha
For Alfredo Cunha, who was responsible for the photographic editing of the book, “this is a great book. Its pages span more than 40 years of photography, history and culture. The visual quality of the work is incredible, enhanced by the excellent layout and printing.”
“Editing the photographs for this book was a huge privilege, which I thank dst for, and Eng. José Teixeira in particular. I learned a great deal. I would also like to thank Maria João Botelho for entrusting me with the considerable responsibility of bringing together the contents of Meia Vida, which contains thousands of lives within it,” he concluded.
Who was Henrique Botelho
Doctor, lecturer and trade union leader, Henrique Botelho also stood out as a keen observer of society, particularly through his close involvement with cultural life, especially through the Encontros da Imagem in Braga, where he undertook much of his photographic career.
With this publication, the dstgroup is reinforcing its role as a patron and active promoter of culture, continuing a solid commitment to the arts and access to artistic creation. More than just publishing a book, the group invests in artistic literacy and the preservation of cultural heritage, helping works that have so far remained unseen to reach the public.
The presentation was attended by Maria João Botelho, Henrique Botelho’s wife, and several figures linked to culture and photography, including Alfredo Cunha, António Durães and João Lóio, thus marking a moment that brought together memory, art and identity.
