Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Passion. (from the lat. passione) n. 1. intense and usually violent feeling (affection, joy, hate, etc.) which hinders the exercise of impartial logic; 2. derived from a feeling; 3. great predilection; 4. partiality; 5. great grief; immense suffering...

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.
Passion is the dedication to a project. Passion is a state of warm soul.

Solidarity. (from the lat. solidare) n. 1. the quality of being solidary; 2. reciprocal responsibility among the members of a group, namely social, professional, etc.; 3. sense of sharing another’s suffering.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

dst invests 50 million in Mereces in Barcelos and Guimarães

Jornal Negócios

The real estate branch of the group from Braga is investing 30 million euros in the residential component of a multipurpose megacomplex in Barcelinhos, in an area of 22 hectares, and starting with the construction of Alameda da India in Guimarães, a development comprising 84 apartments.

In Barcelinhos, parish of Barcelos, on the left bank of the Cávado River, DST Real Estate intends to build a multipurpose megacomplex, with residential areas, commerce and services - Mereces, in an area of around 22 hectares. "There will be 13 buildings, 11 of which are residential, one commercial and the other for services," the general director of the group's real estate branch told Negócios

For now, the company is committed to developing the residential component of the project, which has been named Mereces 718. With "the first building nearing completion, its 36 apartments having already been sold", the construction of the second phase is now starting. In total, on sale are "four lots, which make up 160 apartments, in an investment that amounts to 30 million euros", revealed Miguel Moreira.

Apartments in Mereces from 147 thousand euros

In terms of prices, at Mereces 718, T1 are on sale for 147 thousand euros, T2 for 206 thousand and T3 for 240 thousand, while T4, located on the top floors of the buildings, are being sold for around 500 thousand euros. The second phase of the project should be completed "by December of next year", guaranteed the general director of DST Real Estate, without wanting to detail the next phases or the global investment.

Moreover, he highlighted, "with this project, we intend to promote the creation of a new centrality of Barcelos" and where "it is intended to integrate the traditional and the technological, creating a neighborhood experience of the 21st century". The new complex will also have "more than three hectares of infrastructure for roads, sidewalks, parking and bicycle paths, which allow an accessible and safe connection to the historic center of the city", as well as "11 hectares for green spaces and about 1.5 kilometers for equipment, both for public use".

20 million in Alameda da Índia in Guimarães

DST real estate is also investing in housing projects in Guimarães, in the Minho region. "We are now going to start, in May, with the construction of a residential development on Rua da India", advanced Miguel Moreira. Not yet publicly announced, as he insisted on pointing out "Alameda da Índia", thus baptized "because it will form a new avenue", and will have 84 apartments, "in an investment of around 20 million euros”.

It is the pressure of demand in these cities, where there is a shortage of housing developments, which determined real estate's focus on the residential segment. "These developments of ours aim to respond to local demand - in Barcelos, in Guimarães and in neighboring municipalities, as well as to those who work in the district of Braga", explained Miguel Moreira.

DST Real Estate is the real estate branch of the group based in Pitancinhos, Braga, led by José Teixeira, with revenues exceeding 400 million euros and employing over 2,600 people.
