Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Passion. (from the lat. passione) n. 1. intense and usually violent feeling (affection, joy, hate, etc.) which hinders the exercise of impartial logic; 2. derived from a feeling; 3. great predilection; 4. partiality; 5. great grief; immense suffering...

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.
Passion is the dedication to a project. Passion is a state of warm soul.

Solidarity. (from the lat. solidare) n. 1. the quality of being solidary; 2. reciprocal responsibility among the members of a group, namely social, professional, etc.; 3. sense of sharing another’s suffering.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

dstelecom launches the first telecommunications "marketplace" in Portugal

Negócios

The telecommunications branch of the only candidate to buy Efacec has invested half a million euros in the creation of what it guarantees will be the first online shop that will integrate the offers of national retail operators.

DSTelecom, the wholesale telecommunications operator that already guarantees a network infrastructure that covers more than 550,000 households in Portugal, expecting to reach 130 municipalities by the end of this year, has invested half a million euros in what it claims to be the first telecommunications shop that will allow users to subscribe exclusively online to fibre optic services marketed by several national operators.

It is called GetOn and, according to DSTelecom, it will start operating in low population density areas, aiming to contribute to the promotion of telecommunications services supported exclusively by fibre optics.

"This marketplace will promote and enhance access to broadband services and allow people living in low population density areas to have the same quality of service and diversity of supply as people living in urban areas, thus contributing to the reduction of regional disparities and social equality, preventing rural exodus and even supporting the attraction of investment and people to these territories", said Ricardo Salgado, CEO of Dstelecom.

The Braga group assures that GetOn "is prepared to broaden its scope of action to the whole country by being able to integrate infrastructures from other operators, as well as different offers", stating that this telecommunications "marketplace" has "aroused the interest of international operators, and there are already contacts to study the possibility of extending the platform to other geographies".

According to DSTelecom, "on a single platform, it will now be possible, at no cost for the user, to check the fibre network coverage at his address, consult packages from several operators, subscribe online to the service that is most suitable and also checking the status of the requests in real-time".

"The advantages are immense, from the sustainability that an online shop brings, with effective cost reduction and the ability to reach further, to the convenience for the user of being able to access commercial packages from several operators simultaneously on a single platform, without leaving home", emphasises DSTelecom's CEO.

Although it is an online platform, GetOn ensures that it is prepared to answer requests for help and clarify doubts throughout the entire adherence process.

"We are aware that the areas where GetOn is going to operate have a high percentage of infoexcluded population and, precisely because of that, we do not want to fail to meet their needs. We have prepared a customer support team which, by telephone, will provide the necessary follow-up to all those who need it", states Ricardo Salgado.

The GetOn project arose from a need identified in the market in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, thus facilitating the process of joining fibre services.

What led DSTelecom to create this project? "We found that there was a great movement of people to the interior of the country and even to more remote locations during the pandemic, which forced a greater demand for broadband services," explained the same manager.

As a wholesale telecommunications operator, DSTelecom emphasises that it is responsible for "building and managing Europe's first and largest multi-operator FTTH fibre optic network, available to all telecommunications operators".
