The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Correio do Minho

Until next March 1st, applications are open for the 26th edition of the dst Literature Grand Prix, one of the most relevant awards in the area of letters in Portugal. This year, with the prize money of 15 thousand euros, a prose work, published in the 2019/20 biennium, will be distinguished.
In a press release, the dst group emphasizes that in this 26th edition of the award all areas of narrative prose are considered.

The jury, made up of Vítor Manuel de Aguiar e Silva, José Manuel Mendes and Carlos Mendes de Sousa, will choose the five finalist works of the contest until 1 May 2021, and the final decision, by majority or unanimous vote, will be taken until the 15th the same month.

However, the prize may not be awarded if the jury considers that none of the works in the competition justifies it. It happened in the 2011 edition.
The dst Literature Grand Prize will be presented to the winner at a ceremony to be held during the opening of the Braga 2021 Book Fair, an event in which the dst group is the main sponsor.

Working in a rotating way between genres, distinguishing in one edition a work in prose and in the next one in poetry, this award is already an essential reference in the national cultural panorama, contributing decisively to the promotion of reading and the work of the authors Portuguese.
