Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Passion. (from the lat. passione) n. 1. intense and usually violent feeling (affection, joy, hate, etc.) which hinders the exercise of impartial logic; 2. derived from a feeling; 3. great predilection; 4. partiality; 5. great grief; immense suffering...

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.
Passion is the dedication to a project. Passion is a state of warm soul.

Solidarity. (from the lat. solidare) n. 1. the quality of being solidary; 2. reciprocal responsibility among the members of a group, namely social, professional, etc.; 3. sense of sharing another’s suffering.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Ambition. (from the lat. ambitione) n. 1. vehement desire of wealth, honours or glories; 2. expectation about the future; aspiration; 3. lust; greed…

Esthetics. ESTHETICS (from the Greek aisthetiké, "sensitive") n.f. 1. Philosophy branch of philosophy that studies the beauty and nature of artistic phenomena; 2. author's own style, time, etc.; 3. harmony of shapes and colors, beauty; 4. set of techniques and treatments that aim to beautify the body.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

The New European Bauhaus

Op-ed Article | Dinheiro vivo

Contemporary society - with the multiple challenges it faces, whether climate change, the scarcity of natural resources or global warming - now has a new opportunity with the launch of the New European Bauhaus Project.

This new version of the European ecological pact, within the framework of the European Union's cohesion policy, is an invitation to change, to think of new ways of facing ecological and digital challenges. It is an invitation to change the way we experience this new reality that is transforming our perception of the world. We begin to look more deeply at what surrounds us.

We live in a time when it is necessary to find innovative solutions, entrepreneurial and sustainable ideas that breathe creativity and art. Portugal is listed as the fifth country in the European Union in a situation of energy poverty (Eurostat, 2020). People have less economic conditions to keep their homes properly heated, and electricity continues to be the main source of energy consumed nationally.

We must have the ability to feel the world in its originality, respect its nature and understand it through our senses. This is achieved through the integration of the automatic mechanisms of a space that simplifies people's daily lives, satisfying the needs of safety and comfort.

The New European Bauhaus Project is an initiative that aims to design new ways of life, social inclusion, mobilizing a collective effort to build a sustainable future, creating a bridge between art and culture, science and technology

This is an opportunity to improve the quality of life, giving priority to sustainable materials, with simple functionality, which add value without compromising the need for comfort and quality in our daily lives. The New Bauhaus is, without a doubt, an invitation to experience connections between thinkers and entrepreneurs, which aims to transform our lives through the combination of art and science.

One of the main reasons that Portugal occupies a place at the top of the list of energy poverty, has to do with the low quality of construction of buildings. It is urgent to prioritize more sustainable buildings, rehabilitate and finance measures that promote rehabilitation, decarbonization, energy efficiency, water efficiency and the circular economy, contributing to the improvement of the energy and environmental performance of existing buildings, so that there is a significant reduction of primary energy consumption in the serviced buildings.

Currently, a more comfortable, more sustainable and exclusive lifestyle involves choosing an aesthetic solution. Aesthetics is modeled on human aspects and not on the correspondence with some criterion of beauty.

Society increasingly demands integrated solutions in the fields of creativity, beauty, culture, science and technology, and "smart cities" are already growing all over the world to meet some challenges, such as waste control, LED public lighting, air quality indicators, noise levels, different forms of mobilityBasically, looking for unique, original and specialized solutions that meet its needs in buildings to be built.

Therefore, it is up to each of us, as individuals, to opt for more innovative technical solutions so that society can move forward more quickly with projects and strategies to protect the world around us. Moreover, to contribute to the control of energy consumption in the correct use of natural resources, in the well-being of the individual and in the society of which we are a part of.

To take advantage of the New Bauhaus to invest in more efficient buildingsand, to change our perspective towards optimizing consumption, more controlled energy costs and aesthetic solutions.

We are moving towards aisthesis, the art of feeling deeply, so that we can create solutions that are consistent with beauty. And it is only through culture, art, poetry, the commitment to cultural growth, that people, companies, cities and countries will be able to grow and innovate.

It is through the connection of the world of art and science that we can grow, be more competitive and gain economic value.
